GATE 2024 correction date is November 18 to 24, 2023. To edit GATE application form, you need to log in through the GOAPS portal on gate2024.iisc.ac.in. IISc Bangalore to also inform about the errors in the submitted GATE application form on the registered email ID or mobile number. Earlier, GATE form correction dates were Nov 7 to 11.
IISc Bangalore has announced new two-paper combinations. Registered candidates who wish to add new second paper or want to change their second paper in the application form can do so till November 17. They will have to pay the regular application fees while adding new second paper, however, no fee is charged to candidates who change their added second paper in GATE 2024 application form.

During the correction window for GATE 2024, you can edit name, date of birth, category, gender, paper choices, exam city, PwD status, and address. Additional charges are applicable for changing the category, gender, disability status, and choice of first and second papers. The form correction fee has to be paid online. GATE 2024 Application Scrutiny and Rectification
The application forms submitted for GATE 2024 are checked by the authorities to verify the accuracy of the data.
- The authorities check the uploaded documents, the clarity of the photograph and the signature.
- If every document and details provided by the candidates are found to be in order then the application will be accepted.
- In case any defect is found in the application form then the same will be marked and intimated to the respective candidate for correction via e-mail and/or SMS, which the candidate has provided while filling the application form.
- The correction needs to be done within the time period provided by the authorities. Failing to do so on time can lead to the rejection of the application
- The status of the candidate’s application can be checked anytime by logging into GOAPS.
IISc Banglore has completed GATE 2024 application scrutiny till October 31. In case of any defects, candidates will be informed of the same through the official email during correction window.
GATE 2024 Application Form Correction: What Can Be Edited?
After submitting the application form, it goes under scrutiny where the form is checked as per the specifications mentioned in GATE Information Brochure. In case, any mistake/ defect is found, the same is informed to the candidates through their registered email IDs for rectification. As only certain details can be edited in GATE Application Form and if the mistakes cannot be rectified then you have to apply again for GATE with a new E-mail ID and Phone Number. It must be noted that the previous application fee shall not be refunded.
GATE 2024 Application Form Correction: Change in Exam Center
- IISc Banglore will also provide the facility to candidates who are interested in changing their GATE 2024 exam center. An additional fee will be applicable for changing the exam city, which will be informed later.
- Candidates can do limited corrections in the application form. Therefore, they are advised to fill GATE Application Form carefully.

Once students get details on the corrections required they can follow the following steps to make the required modifications online:
- Step 1: Log in at the GOAPS website
- Step 2: Enter Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password, and Captcha.
- Step 3: Click on Edit GATE Application Form and make the changes.
- Step 4: After rectifying the required information, verify it before saving the application form and subsequently Save and View the Application.
- Step 5: Submit the form and Proceed to Payment after verifying all the changes.

What After GATE Application Form Correction 2024?
After GATE application form correction window closes, the submitted application forms will be scrutinized for accuracy. Only those candidates whose GATE 2024 form is found to be correct will be issued GATE admit card in the first week of January 2024. GATE 2024 admit card will be issued online only and not be sent by post or email.
