As per the NCF 2023 released by the Education Ministry, all boards shall conduct board exams twice a year from 2024 onwards. However, for the current session, CBSE board exams will be held only once. The final exams will be based on the complete CBSE Class 10 Syllabus 2023-24.

CBSE will conduct the practical exams for winter-bound schools from November 14 to December 14, 2023. Winter-bound schools remain closed in January due to cold weather conditions, therefore, their practical exams are scheduled separately from the regular session schools.
The official notice for winter-bound schools is available on the official website. As per the official notice, schools must ensure to complete the practical exams within the provided timeline.
- They must contact the regional office for appointment of external examiners and observers.

CBSE Class 10 Exam Timings
Students should strictly adhere to the exam timings mentioned in the date sheet.
- Students should reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exams.
- The exams will be conducted for a duration of three hours i.e. from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Students will be given 15 minutes extra for reading the question paper.
- Students are not permitted to write anything during the reading time. The writing of answers will start at 10:30 PM.
