Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because many of my family members had done their graduation in the same. The faculties are highly qualified with most of them having PhDs. In my course, there is one teacher for 150 students for each subject. Exams are conducted approximately every 5 months and they are not very hard to pass.

Campus Life:

But there are various annual fests of the societies and clubs. The library is all good with ACs and reading rooms. Books are available. The classrooms have good benches and fans. The college has a satisfactory sports infra with a gym and sports ground. There are various active clubs like NCC, and NSS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am preparing for a professional course, CA for that I need to take admission in any UG course, so I opted for B.Com as it is the easiest UG course available. I don't have exact information regarding the faculty: student ratio, but yes one thing I can say is that we have enough teachers for each student, it never happened that a particular professor of the subject is not available to take class. And if I talk about the nature of the faculty, the teachers are really good here. They are really supportive even for exemption students. CPC has highly qualified teachers, most of the teachers here have experience in the teaching field for more than 15 years, and almost all the teachers are PhD holders, and accounts professors are the best in my view, we have CA, CMA all types of professional professors. And the teaching method is pretty good. We have a semester system in CPC College, the two exams every year one in winter and another in summer and they are very easy to pass, really very easy.

Campus Life:

The annual cultural fest known as CPC fiesta is conducted in December month every year, the best event in the college, other than this, we also have many cultural and academic events and fests. The library has all the required study materials and books, even notes are available in the college library. Classrooms are well furnished all the classes are smart classes, with digital smart board, and projector. The campus area is a bit small but the still college has wide sports activities available, every year college conduct sports event on the big ground outside the college, where multiple sports are conducted for students. We have the NSS club, it's a social group that works for the welfare of society, also various placement orientation clubs are there for students' benefit.

Campus Life:

There was a frequent number of workshops in a semester, monthly 1 workshop. Our college Library has an average number of books for all the courses but it's difficult to get is during exam times. There are not many amenities in class, a classroom consists of lengthy benches and lengthy chairs, a fan and tube light, and a blackboard. There are so many opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure during 2015 was quite reasonable it was 13000 when I started and later during 2018, the semester fees were 15000, and 2000 got hiked. They provided scholarships to financially struggling students who didn't have proper family support. All the companies that came for the campus drive are well-known and international companies, the starting pay CTC was 18000, the stipend was 5000.

Campus Life:

The college conducts fests such as ignito buzz and buzy buzz. They are conducted around the months of January/February. Almost all the books which any student requires are available in the library and if any book is not available, the librarian makes sure it will be available soon. There are various amenities available in the classroom. Some of them include last technology such as smart boards and well ventilation inside the classroom. There are various sports and extra curricular activities such as basketball, football, vollyball, etc. The college also has various clubs such as E-CELL, Cultural Club, Literary Club, CSR Club, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course in order to persure my interests in the field of accounting and finance. The course also offers benefits for ACCA professional exams. The faculty:student ratio is 1:12. The faculty are highly qualified and experienced and their teaching methods are very unique and interesting. It has really helped me in understanding the subject better. The exams were very well organised and managed by the faculty. The difficulty of the exams were mediocre but with proper studies and concentration in class can easily allow one to pass the exams.

Campus Life:

The annual fests aren't that interesting as a student of that college because the circle of friends there is very low, you can't make friends there because no one is regular. The books in the library are useless because they are old versions, the professor of that college doesn't even teach from those books, and classes are looking old with old paints on walls with slow running fans on the rooftop. There is a basketball court in the college but it really needs to maintain, there is no maintenance in any infrastructure of the college. The interference of students isn't real they just talk to each other for knowing updates regarding the college because no one is regularly there and it is not even compulsory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to increase the knowledge of business and commerce related fields so I choosed b.com , there was 6 subjects in every semester, and for each subject there is a particular professor with polite behaviour, there are only objectives questions involved in even semester exams and theory questions involved in odd semesters exam. The level of questions aren't to typical an average student can pass their exams with just one months of study with nural(book).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that the course curriculum and faculty members are average in this college. We have to take 2 Hindi subjects in the same semester. This is not good for having similar subjects in the same semester. I chose a Bachelor Of Commerce as I wanted to pursue my career in the commerce field. The faculty of this college is good. The teachers are really good and kind by nature. Always ready to help us. All the faculty members are PHD holders in their respective fields which I think is enough to make you understand about us teachers' qualifications. I am in my first year so I haven't taken any exams until now but I think my senior said they a standard exam and it is easy to score 9 CGPA. It is quite challenging

Campus Life:

Sri Venkateswara College keeps organising fests but they are not too good. They are just average ones. The library is very good for our college. You'll get all kinds of books. The classrooms of the college are good. There is no problem with the furniture. Our college excels in sports and extracurricular activities as last year our football team won 9 out of 13 tournaments organised at the university level and our students of different societies keep performing in different colleges and keeps earning awards. There are 32 societies in our college run by students and the student union which manages students of our college and fests too

I chose this course because in the future I wish to study MBA. The needed number of faculty is been provided to the department by the college. 15:360 is the faculty-student ratio. Every teacher in the department holds a doctorate certificate. The method of teaching in my college is different, they use PPTs and seminars for the students to gain more knowledge. There are many fests conducted in the college for students like freshers' Eve, cultural, graduation day, farewell, etc. Every month some festival will be conducted by the management. The annual festival name will be changed year by year. Sports days have also been held in college. I like the library very much, The ambience of the library is very cool. The college offers subject and course-related books, journal articles, databases, etc., which are available in the library. It has a very peaceful study room. Without an ID card not allowed inside the library. The classes are very spacious about 60 to 70 students can sit in one classroom. Noise-free area, comfortable tables and chairs. Lights and fans are available. Every year college conduct sport day, Inter College sports meet, etc., Students' extracurricular activities like music, dance, painting, and writing novels are also encouraged by college management. The college management has its own website page and some active social pages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took commerce with the accountancy group in my schooling. So I thought a bachelor of commerce was the best choice for me. And pursuing a BCom course, we get the greatest salary-paid jobs. BCom is designed to enhance the ability to learn and study Verity subjects like accountancy, business administration, finance, industrial policies, etc. After completing Bcom I'm excited to do an MBA in finance as my post-graduation degree. This course is a great career choice. The college is organized with two different faculties for the departments of arts and science. The faculties are highly experienced and responsible. They can handle a large amount of students in a class. The faculties are highly qualified in the teaching field, they have great class handling and teaching capability, and the faculty members are very helpful and have a caring attitude toward the students. Every semester the college conduct 2 continuous internal assessment. The CIA marks will be calculated as internal marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I think it is a good one for me as I am from a commerce background. Some faculties are excellent but some of the faculties are not even bothered to tell us whether they are coming for the class or taking a leave. Some teachers put a lot of effort into teaching the students and I love this as in the college it is not common. Qualifications of all the teachers are up to the mark but the teaching styles vary, some are not understandable to us and some teach excellently. Term exams were conducted every semester after 6 months in between their internal assignments and tests.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

As the fees in the 3rd year decrease our college has increased the fee from 19000 to 22000. The cost to study is high for us and for the PG students too. There is no scholarship policy for the General category and I don't know when it gets stopped. It is discrimination against the students who worked hard equal to the SC, ST, and OBC category students and belonged to the middle-class family. No financial assistance has been provided until yet.

I was from the commerce stream so I was pretty sure that I would choose Bcom hons or Bcom prog but the problem was that in Delhi University I needed maths to take Bcom hons in 12th I didn't have maths so I decided to take Bcom prog. In our course, there are 2 sections and on average 50 students per section is good I don't have much problem in clearing college exams because I'm pursuing a CA together.

Campus Life:

Life on campus is pretty good, north campus vibes are always different I feel so good when I'm around the north campus. In fests, there is so much exposure still there have not been many fests happening since I got admission so I hope I will see other fests. My college library is pretty good I like it. The classrooms are not that well furnished I hope they make better arrangements.

The fee for college at Delhi University is not very high but still, if you can't afford you will get a scholarship. There are few scholarships as per your categories. The most prevalent one is NSP. You can avail of its benefits if you satisfy its terms and conditions. Your annual income should be within a range, then only you will get this scholarship. You can apply for this scholarship only in the first year. If you do not apply for this in the first year you can not apply for it in the further years. I made this mistake. I forgot to apply for it at first and I didn't get the opportunity to apply it further. So do not make this mistake. You will get 10,000 rupees every year as per this scholarship of the University. Its main aim is just to provide financial assistance to the economically weaker sections of the society. You will get many placement and job opportunities. It depends on you whether you are ready to do it or not. All placement opportunities available will be sent to you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was all good. Faculty members were also good. Faculty was enough according to the students in the college. All were highly qualified and most were experienced professors. Some of them had 30 years of experience and they taught just very very well. All was very easy to understand. All professors have done the minimum qualification required to be a professor at any University as per the government guidelines. My college faculty was very cool and very helpful. They usually told us that if we had any doubts we could call them anytime even at night if we were studying and having doubts. Exams were un time. There was no Imbalance between the exams. As you know exams are held semester-wise. After every 6 months, you have to take exams as the semester is six months only. The exam is not difficult to pass if you have prepared well for the examinations. The faculty is ready to help you in your study every time but not in your examinations. So just prepare well and do your best.

Ques. What is the passing criteria for B.Com (H) year 1 SOl DU?

● Top Answer By Sanjana Kapoor on 06 Oct 23

Ans. SOl DU’s first year exam of B.com isn't as tough as you might think. A few criteria for passing the first-semester exam are as follows:  To clear your first year, you need to score at least 33% in every subject, out of a total of 75 marks. Sounds doable, As long as you hit that 33% mark in each subject, you're on track to successfully move forward in your academic journey. Now, let's talk about the "what if." If, unfortunately, you score below 33% in any one subject, don't worry too much. You won't have to repeat the entire year. Instead, you'll need to give an ER (Essential Repeat) the following year, which is your second year. Here's the trick - try to aim for an ER in as few subjects as possible. If you have to give an ER for more than four subjects, then, yes, you'll have to repeat the entire year. So, as you dive into your first year, remember that success is within your reach. Stay focused, study hard, and aim for those 33% scores. Read more

Ques. Which one is better: Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics or Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies for B.Com (hons)? Why?

● Top Answer By Nikita Sinha on 23 Jul 22

Ans. Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics is better for pursuing a B.Com (Hons.). It is older and well-reputed. The commerce faculty of the college is excellent. NMIMS is primarily a B-School and offers a good MBA degree. But it started offering undergraduate degrees recently.  Narsee Monjee B.Com fees are almost half of what you will pay at NMIMS. The total course fees amount to INR 92,000.  NM College of Commerce and Economics placements are good. Reputed companies such as Morgan Stanley, EY, KPMG, etc. visit the campus placements. ● Top Answer By Tithi Aggrawal on 08 Aug 23

Ans. Both Gargi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh are well-regarded colleges with equally good reputations. They are located in the same city and even their year of establishment is the same. The faculty pools are great. So choosing one over the now depends more on your preference. If you are serious about your academics and future you can go for the all-girls college, Gargi but if you want a more vibrant college experience,  go for SBS.  As a whole, it can be said that Gargi has better placement opportunities while SBS has a tad bit better faculty pool.
