How to apply for JEE Main 2024?

JEE Main application form fill up involves registration, application form fill up, uploading of documents followed by fee payment. Step-by-step instructions to apply for JEE Main are as follows:

JEE Main Registration

Candidate needs to select any one of the following to register for JEE (Main):

• Create a Digi locker account through the NAD portal. Or;
• create an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID) through the ABC ID. Or;
• To log in using an Indian Indian Passport Number. Or;
• To log in using a Non-Indian Passport Number. Or;
• To log in using a PAN Card Number. Or;
• To log in using an Aadhaar Enrollment Number

Register for the online application form and ensure that you note the system-generated application number. After providing the relevant details. Candidates will be required to create a password and choose a security question and answer. On successful completion of personal details, an Application Number will be generated.

Candidates must note that NTA has launched a new website for JEE Mains 2024. The JEE Main registration link mentioned is from the newly launched website. Earlier JEE Main registration link was jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main registration link will direct you to JEE Main 2024 login where you can use your DigiLocker account/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card details to register for the exam.

How to Create a Digilocker Account for Students?

Step 1: Go to the DigiLocker official website, nad.digilocker.gov.in/students
Step 2: Click on the link ‘Create Your DigiLocker Account’ available on the homepage.
Step 3: You will be directed to another page where you need to click on the ‘Sign Up’ tab.
Step 4: After this, a sign-up page will appear where you need to provide details like you name, DoB, category, phone number, and email address.
Step 5: Next, you are required to enter your unique 12-digit Aadhaar number. After this step, you will have two options – One Time Password (OTP) and a Fingerprint. You can choose any one of these two and proceed further.

• Go to the official website of JEE Main- jeemain.nta.ac.in
• Click on link for “Forget Password’
• Provide the Application Number and Date of Birth
• Link to generate new password that will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidate.
• If candidates have forgotten their application number, they can check the email id or message sent at the time of application number generation.
• Candidates can also check the printout of the confirmation page for the Application Number.

What is Aadhar Enrollment Number 2024

An Aadhaar Enrollment Number, also known as an Enrollment ID (EID), is a unique 28-digit number generated by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) during the Aadhaar enrollment process. You can find your EID on the top of the acknowledgment slip you receive after completing the Aadhaar enrollment process. The first 14 digits of the EID are randomly assigned, while the next 14 digits show the date and time of your Aadhaar enrollment.

Candidates must note that an Aadhaar Enrollment Number is not your Aadhaar Number. The Aadhaar number is a 12-digit unique identification number generated by UIDAI. To register for JEE Mains 2024 you require your Aadhaar Enrollment Number (EID) and not your Aadhaar Number.
