Do you think Delhi students and admitted to colleges (NSIT, DTU, IIITD) through home state quota really deserve it, when they are admitted to prime courses like computer science with horrible ranks?

Someone’s rank can’t decide how deserving they are. My brother completed his B.Tech COE from NSUT. His friend circle was quite diverse and consisted of toppers as well as mediocre students. One of his friends was a top ranker. This person did not go for higher studies in his field, nor did he pursue a profession in the IT industry. Another had taken admission into COE at NSUT with a 6k+ rank. He interned at Amazon and received two placement offers. He chose the offer from Samsung. Another person from that group had a 10k+ rank. But in the end, he got an off campus offer of 27 LPA which he accepted after rejecting a 19.5 LPA off campus offer from Arcesium, and a 14 LPA placement offer from the college itself. These three different people made my brother realize that rank can’t define someone’s worth. If you couldn’t get admission into NSUT or DTU, do not fill yourself with hatred. Try to remain calm and work hard in whichever college you end up in. Things will surely work well for you. Try to maintain a good CGPA though, because that will allow you to sit for placements.

What should be the order of preference for MBA >> Great Lakes Chennai (1 yr PGPM) , IIT Delhi/Madras/Kharagpur/Kanpur (2 yr PGDM), IMT or KJSomiaya?

The order of preference of institutes is always subjective as it depends on a variety of factors. Some of these include Fees: Great Lakes fees are higher than IITs and sometimes the difference is as high as 10 Lakhs. Duration: The one-year courses are time-saving and less expensive than 2-year ones. ROI: The ROI is a very crucial component. Great Lakes may have high fees but since you will be studying just for a year and then again start earning, you will be able to pay back the loan quite early. IITs have low fees so their ROI is also great. Placements: The placement scenario of all the aforementioned institutes is similar. However, Great Lakes has more opportunities in the IT sector while IMT and IITs have more opportunities for Marketing. Facilities: Great Lakes has better infrastructure, facilities, and campus life in comparison to the other institutes. Based on your preferences and priorities you can come up with your own order for preference. For me it is GL (1 yr) > IIT's > KJSOM

IIT Delhi final Placements report 2023 is yet to be published. The phase 1 placements statement was issued in December which stated that IIT Delhi students bagged 650 job offers and 550 unique job selections only at the end of day 1. In these placements 400 national and international organizations offered 800 job profiles where a whopping number of 50 students received a job offer of more than INR 1 CPA. Distance between hostel and LHC.(It is like 1km).Also Boys and girls hostel are seperate :(.

The admission process was through Jee Advanced. For my department (CS5) the cutoff for the general category was 185 Rank and for other cutoffs, you can refer to the JOSAA website. Personally, I got a 155 Rank, so was able to avail CS5 rank under the general category. There were no prerequisites for eligibility of course except securing 75% in board exams in the 12th class. You can find the application form, fees, and dates on the JOSAA website. If you belong to the EWS/OBC/SC/ST/Girls category you can avail of reservation benefits also. An improvement that I want to see in the admission process is that the website should work smoothly, currently, it just crashes every time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Curriculum is actually good and faculty members are highly experienced. I chose this course because I was passionate about computers and have always been fascinated by them. Here, the faculty-to-student ratio is roughly around 100. Faculties almost always have PhD in their domain with most of them having written some research papers. The term exams were on time and it was not very difficult to pass.

I want more level of exposure here so I choose IIT Delhi over any other lower iits, there are enough faculty here and the ratio is good, The faculty here are very highly qualified, exams here are very difficult and at least needs 1 week of rigorous study before exam to score good grades

12th appearing or passed candidates can apply for the JEE Advanced exam who have physics chemistry and mathematics as subjects in their 12th board. After the declaration of the JEE Advanced exam results students are required to complete the josaa counselling process website will be available after the declaration of results you need to fill up the choices of program and college in your preferential order. After the counseling process, you will be allotted a college and branch there are 6 rounds in josaa counselling after the 6th round you will get your final college and branch. you need to go through the website of that college to complete the admission process

I chose this course because I have interest in mathematics and wanted to learn more about it. The faculty-to-student ratio is nice and around 1:16 . The professors are highly qualified and have done research in their fields and have great knowledge about their subject. Quizzes are frequently conducted and we have 2 exams mid sem and end sem exams due to the competitive environment it is difficult to get a good cgpa

IIT Delhi is one of the best institutes in the country and to get admission to B.Tech and Dual degree courses one has to clear JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced, admission is done after 6 rounds of JOSAA Counselling.

I have chosen IIT Delhi because it was my dream college like many JEE Aspirants. I found my course i.e. Engineering and Computational Mechanics quite interesting as it includes DSA and ML, In the first year the class size is quite large as all departments have common courses,Profs here are very good in their domain.

IIT delhi in a nutshell

Likes:
BRCA night was amazing. It's an event for the freshers.,
Rendezvous was also amazing. It is a four day event.,
Holidays are quite enjoyable here. You can go out for exploring delhi with your friends.

Dislikes:
Minors were quite tough. The minor week is very hectic.,
Majors always took our peaceful sleep from us,
Some lectures were quite boring. You will feel sleepy during the class.

IIT Delhi is one of the best institutes in India. The highly competitive environment and best opportunities for placement as well as higher studies. Profs are also quite helpful. You will get ample sports opportunities on campus.

Mathematics and computing branch is one of the emerging courses in the country. Professors are mostly PhD scholars who have done their PhD from foreign colleges. Term exams were timely taken. It was a bit difficult level.

IIT DELHI - dream college of many

Classroom infrastructure Is next generation . The Sport facility provided is very good,
The roads in the campus are very smooth, which makes our travel easier from host,
There are plenty of shops for students to buy their stuff. There are juice corners also for students to remain hydrated

Dislikes:
The lectures also seem to be boring most of the time,
The course load is very hectic so sometimes ithe students become very stressed

Exam: Jee advanced The eligibility of the Exam is that you should have qualified class 12th exam with a minimum of 70% The application form is available on the exam website. The fees of the application form are also available there. That exam usually happens in the summer Is a very competitive exam very very competitive

I took this course because I was interested in maths and physics The faculty-student ratio hasn't been disclosed yet All the faculty members are highly qualified and most of them have done their phd in USA The exam happened frequently and the difficulty level was also good

IIT Delhi - Complete Review

Likes:
The startup culture and how everyone is excited about it.,
Sports facilities are unexpected and other co curricular activities.,
Seniors are too helpful and approachable.

Dislikes:
Rooms facilities and other infrastructure.,
The academic pressure is too much here and can make it difficult.,
The 75% attendance criteria for passing the course.

I gave JEE Advanced after JEE Mains, secured an all-India rank of 344 and this was the best I could get. I got into the college through JOSAA Counselling. I did not avail of reservation benefits. I found the admission process pretty fine and faced no major issues.

I chose this college as it is one of the best colleges for B.Tech in India and is located in New Delhi - The capital of India. Faculty: Student ratio is about 1:20, which is not that bad. The profs try their best but lack the teaching skills even though they are geniuses in their field of research. The exams are pretty frequent including assignments which keep students equipped all the time but the major exams require a day or two of studying and are easy to pass. However one needs to pay attention the whole semester to ace them.

Realities of IIT Delhi.

Need to qualify for JEE advanced examination, The cutoff depends on toughness and is different every time, but the rank should be less than or around 5k in order to get in IITD. for OBC It can go up to 10k in the general category. The admission process is through JOSAA counselling after the announcement of the JEE result. Forms need to be filled followed by a process of registration in offline mode in the college

Because my rank was not that good, I had no choice. No idea about the student-faculty ratio Highly qualified professors are present here, some of whom are IITians themselves and others have done research or Phd from abroad. Passing exams is easy and exams and quizzes are frequent.

Reputation and rankings of IIT Delhi make the students feel blessed to be here.

Candidates need to qualify for JEE Main and JEE Advanced and feature in the top ranks to get admission to IIT Delhi B Tech. Forms will be found on the official websites of NTA and JEE Apex Board. Application fees for JEE Advanced is 2800 INR.

IIT Delhi: The Perfect College?

I liked the infrastructure of the lecture hall building.,
There are many opportunities available in different fields.,
There are facilities for many sports which can be taken up by you

Dislikes:
There are clubs for students but in most of them they don't actually teach you,
The administration's work ethic is not upto the mark. They will make you come again and again for the resolution of your issues,
For an introvert, it is really hard to survive.

Admission into IITs is based on rank in the JEE Advance exam. Generally, the top 10000 candidates are eligible for admission into IITs. The application form is available at https://jeeadv.ac.in/. After the results, josaa counseling starts where the candidate has to fill in the choices of branches and colleges in the order of preference.

I am a part of the Engineering Physics program. I chose this program because I am interested in physics. The faculty-to-student ratio is one of the highest for the physics department at IIT Delhi. All of the faculty members are PhDs with more than 10 years of experience.
